Popis: Infantry march through the centre of a village, and out along the wet roads into the countryside. Back in the village signallers rig telephone wires on a barber's pole. Out on the plain lancers trot past followed by heavily camouflaged armoured cars (possibly Austin). A gun battery is using a farm as a base. A mounted signaller trails a telephone wire out along a road, behind a line-laying wagon. At the farm Royal Fusiliers have their rum ration served. The manoeuvres are between a force from Mercia representing strength and one from Wessex representing mobility.
